Character Design

It is the process of creating unique and memorable characters that can be used in various forms of media, such as animation, video games, and advertising.

Compelling characters, similar to good acting in movies, are the heart of any great story. The best of them are more than just a pretty face. They are alive with personality, backstory, and motivation that create a long-lasting impact on audiences.

Thus, well-crafted characters can bring a story to life and make it truly resonate with audiences, allowing them to form an emotional connection and immersing them in the story. That’s why it’s essential when it comes to creating stories that will leave an impression on viewers for years to come.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a question that you can’t find the answer to? Get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to assist.

The questions you see on this page are specific to this discipline. We also have another page where you can find answers to more generic questions about our process and service.

It seems this is all done in 3D. Can we also do it in 2D?

Most definitely. Although we offer many 3D services, character designs don’t always have to be done in 3D. In fact, in some cases, 3D creations start off as 2D sketches. Once the style is nailed, and we get approval, we move on to detailing it in 3D. Thus, the effort may easily continue in 2D at that point.

Do we only provide this service for video games?

Fortunately, the answer is yes! Our tools and processes can be adapted to meet the needs of other industries. We understand that each industry has its own unique requirements, so we are more than happy to discuss them in detail during a meeting.

What types of art styles do we offer for your projects?

We offer a wide variety of art styles for your projects, ranging from photorealistic to stylized and cartoonish. Our team of artists is highly skilled at creating unique and engaging visual styles that will set your project apart from the competition.

Can we create designs that align with your brand or project’s theme and target audience?

Of course. Having well-developed characters that are relatable and aligned with your brand’s values can enhance user engagement and help to strengthen your brand’s identity. With that in mind, we will ask you to tell us about your target audience’s demographics, interests, and preferences when creating your characters. Additionally, it’s important to ensure that the final artwork is integrated seamlessly into your brand’s messaging and that they consistently reflect your brand’s tone.

You want to have changes made to a character design. Can we do it?

We can work out a solution for you. It usually starts off by analyzing the original file. Then, it depends on the quality of how things have been labelled and organized. We work with Blender on the 3D side, and most other common Graphics Editors on the 2D side. After evaluating possible options, we will present to you what can be done further.
